British style icon Zandra Rhodes, was introduced to the world of fashion by her mother, a wardrobe fitter at a major Paris fashion house at the time. Her mother also taught at the Medway College of Art in London and instilled in her the importance of education. When Zandra would eventually attend the same school (and then the Royal College of Art after that), her major area of study was in textiles. Zandra's unique and colorful outlook on design that flourished during those years afforded her iconic status and put London on the forefront of fashion in the 1970's.

Zandra shows a collection each season throughout Europe for her loyal and adoring fans. Her spring/summer 2007 showing was hailed by fashion critics. Celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Paris Hilton, The Olsen Twins, Jerry Hall, Twiggy and even the late Princess Diana have all made room in their closets for Zandra's creations.

Whether it’s her apparel designs, her fur collection for Pologeorgis New York, and other line extensions, Zandra's love for organic materials, quality construction, and theatrical aesthetic is prevalent in all her endeavors. For her newly introduced handbag collection, Rhodes has aligned herself with the creative team at Girari Design in Beverly Hills.

A dramatic, but graceful collection with Zandra’s bold and colorful prints is sure to pop season after season from Hollywood’s “red carpet” to London’s Fashion Week. Zandra's Handbag collection can be found at upscale boutiques and better department stores.

Zandra Rhodes is the Founder of the Fashion & Textile Museum in London and has proven that she is more than a successful designer, she's now a one-woman style institution!
